Para 6 (Tajj) Arabic
Introduction
Para 6 of the Holy Qur’an is known by its opening words “La Yuhibbullah” (لَا يُحِبُّ اللَّهُ). It begins from Surah An-Nisa (4:24) and continues till Surah An-Nisa (4:147). This Para focuses on the laws and principles that organize the life of a Muslim society — especially matters related to marriage, family, justice, inheritance, and moral conduct. It also deals with hypocrisy, faith, obedience to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, and the importance of standing for truth even in difficult circumstances.
Main Themes of Para 6
1. Laws of Marriage and Family Life
The Para begins with a detailed explanation of the rules of marriage, including whom a believer can and cannot marry. It prohibits unlawful relations and sets clear boundaries. Marriage in Islam is described as a sacred contract (Nikah), built on mutual respect, purity, and responsibility.
The Qur’an also discusses dowry (mahr) as a right of the woman.
It discourages exploitation or forced marriages.
Marriage is meant to create love, peace, and harmony, not oppression or injustice.
2. Purity and Protection of Honour
Islam places great emphasis on modesty, purity, and protection of honour (izzat). The believers are instructed to avoid immoral acts and to protect themselves from sin.
False accusations of adultery or immoral behaviour are considered major sins. The Qur’an strictly warns against such actions, as they destroy trust and peace in society.
3. Justice and Fair Dealings
One of the central themes of this Para is justice (‘adl). Allah commands believers to be just even if it goes against themselves or their relatives.
Justice is the foundation of an Islamic society.
Hypocrisy and partiality in judgment are condemned.
Allah loves those who are fair and truthful, and He dislikes deceit and oppression.
4. Obedience to Authority
The Qur’an instructs Muslims to obey Allah, His Messenger, and those in authority (ulul-amr).
However, obedience to human authority is only valid when it does not contradict Allah’s commands. This verse establishes the principle of Shura (consultation) and lawful leadership in Islam.
5. The Reality of Hypocrisy
A significant portion of this Para exposes the hypocrisy (nifaq) of those who pretend to be Muslims but secretly oppose Islam.
Hypocrites avoid sacrifice in Allah’s cause.
They lie, break promises, and create confusion among the believers.
The Qur’an clarifies that their hearts are full of disease and deceit.
Allah warns that their place will be in the lowest depth of Hell unless they sincerely repent.
6. Battle and Courage
During the time of the Prophet ﷺ, some hypocrites would discourage Muslims from fighting in defense of truth. The Qur’an condemns their cowardice and commands the believers to stand firm for justice.
True believers are those who face danger with patience and faith.
Allah promises His support to the brave and steadfast.
7. Prohibition of Suicide and Killing
The Qur’an explicitly forbids self-destruction and suicide, saying:
“Do not kill yourselves; indeed, Allah is Merciful to you.” (4:29)
This verse teaches the sanctity of life — that life is a trust from Allah, and harming oneself or others unjustly is a great sin.
8. Rights of Property and Trusts
Believers are warned not to consume others’ wealth unjustly.
Trade and business must be honest.
Deception, bribery, and usury (riba) are prohibited.
Trusts (amanah) must be fulfilled faithfully.
Islamic economic justice ensures that no one is cheated or exploited.
9. Migration and Struggle (Hijrah & Jihad)
Allah praises those who migrated (muhajirun) and fought for His cause, leaving behind worldly comforts.
Those who help and support such people (the ansar) are also honoured.
This part of the Para highlights that faith demands sacrifice, and Allah promises immense reward to those who act sincerely.
10. Mercy and Forgiveness of Allah
Even after discussing serious sins, Allah opens the door of mercy.
He says that those who commit sins out of ignorance but then repent and reform themselves will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
This shows that repentance (tawbah) can erase even the darkest deeds if done sincerely.
11. Clarification About Prayer and Remembrance
Believers are instructed to remember Allah in all circumstances — standing, sitting, or lying down.
Regular prayer strengthens faith and keeps the heart alive.
Neglecting prayer leads to spiritual darkness.
Allah reminds that true success lies in constant remembrance of Him.
12. Equality and Accountability
The Para teaches that men and women are equal in faith and reward.
Both are accountable for their deeds.
Allah honours them not by wealth or gender, but by taqwa (piety and righteousness).
“Whoever does good deeds, whether male or female, while being a believer — We will grant them a good life.” (4:124)
13. Relations with the People of the Book
The Qur’an invites the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) to truth and justice. It asks them to worship only Allah and not associate partners with Him.
The believers are reminded to discuss with them kindly but remain firm in their faith.
14. Warning Against Arrogance and Disobedience
Allah warns those who reject His guidance out of pride or stubbornness. Arrogance is a sign of disbelief.
Those who deny the truth after knowing it will face humiliation in this world and severe punishment in the Hereafter.
15. Sincere Faith vs. Superficial Faith
The Para draws a clear line between true believers and pretenders.
True believers trust Allah, obey His Messenger, and sacrifice for truth.
Hypocrites only claim faith but seek worldly benefit.
Allah knows the secrets of every heart.

“Live with sincerity, act with justice, and place your trust in Allah alone.”
